Since this morning, DKI Jakarta residents have started crowding the vaccination activities which were held at the Bung Karno Main Stadium on Saturday, June 26, 2021. The Vaccination Raid at the GBK Main Stadium was organized by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Indonesian National Armed Forces and Police. Participants of the Vaccination Assault at the GBK Main Stadium register through the Jakarta Terkini application (JAKI) which can be downloaded via the link http://qrco.de/appsjaki, then the choice of vaccination location, select the location of Gelora Village, Tanah Abang District. It is targeted that around 10.000 residents of DKI Jakarta can receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, namely Sinovac.
Similar vaccination activities were also held simultaneously at several points in Jakarta and a number of regions in Indonesia to ensure the success of the program entitled "National Targeted Vaccination Attack 1 Day 1 Million Vaccinations".
At around 10.30 WIB, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo was accompanied by Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Head of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Ganip Warsito, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, and Central Director. The management of the Bung Karno Gelora Complex, Rakhmadi A. directly observed the vaccination activities at the GBK Main Stadium.
The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, expressed his gratitude that Indonesia was able to hold mass vaccinations from Sabang to Merauke. Today's target is one million vaccines for the people, which we hope will continue to reach in July and in August our target will be two million vaccines. He also appreciated the enthusiasm of the people who came to GBK to be vaccinated.
During this visit, the President took the time to have a dialogue with several Regional Military Commanders regarding the availability and implementation of vaccinations in each region. At the end of his visit, the President advised the ranks of the Regional Government and TNI-Polri together to always be able to discipline the implementation of health protocols in the community in all activities carried out in the field.
It is hoped that this vaccination program can accelerate the government's efforts to create herd immunity so that people become more productive in carrying out their daily activities.
