Entering the first day of the post-Eid al-Fitr holiday 1442 H, the Management of the Bung Karno Gelora Management Complex (PPKGBK) enforces a COVID-19 test policy for all employees in the Bung Karno Gelora Complex Management Center (Monday, 17 May 2021). Located in each work unit, as many as 303 GBK employees carried out the COVID-19 test using the Saliva test method.
The COVID-19 Saliva Test is a method used to detect the presence of the corona virus in a person's body through a saliva sample. This test detects viral genetic material in a saliva sample. The time required for testing is also fairly fast, only a few minutes. Likewise, the accuracy obtained is fairly high, around 83 percent.
Quoted from the statement of Dr. Spencer Kroll, FNLA, a specialist in internal medicine in New Jersey that the saliva test is very sensitive, this test can detect the virus as well as one copy per microliter of saliva.
The results of the entire saliva test conducted by all PPKGBK employees tested negative for COVID-19. With these results, all PPKGBK employees can carry out their duties in serving the community and stakeholders. The community and other stakeholders can also feel safer and more comfortable doing activities in the GBK area. The most important thing is that all levels of society play an important role in breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19 by implementing health protocols wherever we are.
