In order to realize one of the government's visions, namely developing and utilizing renewable energy, soon in the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area, a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) will be built. This development cooperation began with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the Development of a Solar Power Plant (PLTS) at the Complex on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. This Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the President Director of the Bung Karno Sports Center Complex Management Center (PPKGBK), Rakhmadi A. Kusumo together with the President Director of PT. Pertamina Power Indonesia, Dannif Danusaputro and witnessed by the Minister of State Secretary, Pratikno and the President Director of PT. Pertamina (Persero), Nicke Widyawati.
In this collaboration, PPKGBK will prepare the PLTS location and Pertamina will prepare a technical feasibility study covering the relevant types of solar panels, the strength of the existing building structures, the electrical system, public safety and other related studies. Later the PLTS to be built in the GBK area will have a capacity of 1,2 MW.
In his written statement on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, the Minister of State Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia, Pratikno said that the Ministry of State Secretariat as the Owner of State Assets expressed his gratitude to Pertamina for supporting the Government's efforts in utilizing state assets by building PLTS in the GBK area. "We are working hard to go green and make full use of state land for the public. We want to give the greatest contribution to society in the future, "he explained.
The President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati also welcomed positively the cooperation in developing PLTS at GBK. "This is the greatest potential, in addition to increasing the realization of the renewable energy program, it can also increase economic value and support efforts to develop a sustainable energy business in accordance with the implementation of ESG (Environment, Social and Governance)," concluded Nicke.
