After more than 2 months the Al Bina GBK Mosque was closed due to the covid-19 virus pandemic, for the first time the Al Bina Mosque GBK held a Friday prayer service on June 5, 2020. This policy was a follow-up to the decision of the Governor of DKI Jakarta to allow the implementation worship in houses of worship by still referring to the implementation protocol in carrying out worship in congregation during the co-19 pandemic.

During the first week of the large-scale social restriction (PSBB) transition to "New Normal", the Friday prayer at the Albina Mosque was only held for one session, but people who arrived late were given the opportunity to perform the midday prayer until 1 WIB. Some provisions that must be obeyed by pilgrims before performing Friday prayers at the Masjid Al Bina GBK, among others, are obliged to wear masks, have ablution and carry bags to store footwear, this is because the Al Bina GBK Mosque does not provide ablution and safekeeping slippers / the shoes. Pilgrims who come on foot can go through Gate 13.00 while people who use vehicles can go through Gate 4 and park their vehicles in the GBK South Parking. The Al Bina GBK Mosque can only accommodate a maximum of 5 worshipers or 618% of the existing capacity.

Although in the midst of the outbreak of the covid-19 virus pandemic, it did not dampen the intention of the pilgrims to carry out worship, while continuing to run health protocols. The Friday prayer service at the Al Bina GBK Mosque can run smoothly and in an orderly manner.
