Financial sector activists under the auspices of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) held a mass COVID-19 vaccination at Tennis Indoor GBK. This activity lasted for 2 days, namely on 16 and 17 June 2021. On Wednesday, 16 June 2021 the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo was accompanied by the Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners Wimboh Santoso, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo, and President Director The Indonesia Stock Exchange, Inarno Djayadi, witnessed the provision of Covid-19 vaccinations for employees in the financial services industry.

Mass vaccination activities for the financial services sector are provided as much as 100.000 and for the initial stage will be given to 10.000 players in the financial services sector in Jakarta and 1.000 players in the financial services industry in ten cities Regional Offices and OJK Offices in the regions namely Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Denpasar, Palembang , Medan, Banjarmasin, Makassar, Yogyakarta and Jambi.
President Jokowi on that occasion said that vaccination for the financial sector was carried out to accelerate vaccination so as to form communal immunity in the community.

"Our target later in early July is to reach one million vaccines per day from the previous 500 thousand. With this acceleration, we hope to reduce the spread of Covid-19," he said.
The President hopes that vaccination acceleration in the financial services sector can be carried out in all regions so that they can achieve herd immunity in August.
Wimboh Santoso explained, apart from in Jakarta, 90 thousand mass vaccinations for the financial services sector will be prepared for areas outside Jakarta, including for consumers in the financial sector. This number will also be added to the vaccinations carried out by many companies in the financial services industry independently.

"In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, we will help accelerate the Covid-19 vaccination by involving the financial services sector throughout Indonesia. With this vaccination, we hope that the business of the financial services industry will become stronger and can further encourage the recovery of the national economy," he said.

OJK continues to encourage the participation of the financial services industry in accelerating the Covid-19 vaccination and is expected to become a vaccination center or hub spread throughout Indonesia.
